Prof. Stephan Tzenov, PhD

Stefan Tzenov was born in 1955 in the town of Belitsa, Blagoevgrad district.
 
He obtained MSc in Physics in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (1980) and defended a PhD thesis “Resonance Phenomena in Accelerators of Charged Particles” at the Institute of Nuclear research (INR), Dubna, Russia (1991).
 
Prof. Tzenov has worked as a researcher in INR - Dubna (1985-91), CERN - Geneva (1991-93), Fermilab - Batavia, USA (1997-98), SLAC - Stanford, USA (1998-2000), PPPL - Prinston, USA (2000-03), STFC Daresbury Laboratory - Warrington, UK (2006-11). He has lectured also at Universita di Salerno, Italy (2003-05) in statistical physics, non-equilibrium thermodynamics and transport phenomena.
 
Member of the American Physical Society; European Physical Society; Insitute of Physics - UK. 
 
Uses English, Russian, Italian and French languages.
  
Fields of scientific interest: non-linear phenomena in plasma and shafts of charged particles; quantum mechanics of field; gravitation and cosmology.
 
He has published the monograph Contemporary Accelerator Physics, 2004, World Scientific.
